1 Tim 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

The story is told of a young Jewish lad who lived on an isolated farm with his family. They were quite poor and lived simple lives. One day the boy got to travel to a village with his father. He was drawn to a synagogue where he heard prayers being recited. His heart was touched, so he went in and sat down to listen to the prayers. The boy was deeply moved and wanted to join in the prayers, but he could not read the Siddur, the Hebrew prayer book. So he closed his eyes and simply prayed the alphabet, “Aleph, Bet, Gimmel, Dalet, Hey, Vav…” He recited the alphabet over and over again. Then he said, “O God, I don’t know how to pray or what to say; so please take these letters and form them into the words that You would like to hear.”

God, no doubt, hears such prayers, for His Spirit searches our hearts when we pray. Earnestness is imperative in prayer, but content is important also. We should mature in our prayer lives and even develop skill in the way we pray. This is not to take away from child-like devotion, but to add maturity to it. We are more than beggars; we are sons and daughters of the King, and we should approach Him accordingly.

General Prayer for our Church

That the Holy Spirit would give understanding of the Israel Mandate to the churches. That the church would come to repentance of anti-Semitism and realize that anti-Semitism is antichrist. That the church would restore and not redefine the prophetic office.

The Lord promised to establish Houses of Prayer throughout the nations for Israel in the End-times (Isaiah 56:7, 62:6-7). Praise be to the LORD, the GOD OF ISRAEL for the Austin House of Prayer here in Central Texas who desires to partner in this mandate. We believe the full release of the Great Harvest in the nations is deeply linked to the visitation of the Holy Spirit to Israel (Ezekiel 36:23-36). This will only be fully released in context to night and day prayer with fasting (Luke 18:7-8) and by being ‘doers of the Word through a ministry of love to Israel in practical ways. The only way we reach out to His brothers and sisters iis called to partner with Israel by standing in the gap for such a time as this ‘through intercession’. Let’s keep in mind that the Church is not some phenomenon independent of Israel; it is the graciousness of God to allow Gentiles to come into their promise, into their hope and into their expectation, which they themselves have lost by default and no longer know.  Part of our task is to remind Israel, not only verbally, but by being a demonstration of what it means to have been invited into the privileges of their ‘commonwealth’. ” …remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (Eph. 2:12).
